Named in honor of the late King County Prosecuting Attorney, the award honors those who show exemplary leadership, dedication and commitment to the youth and families of Washington State. The fifth annual award was presented to Seattle Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll on March 1, 2012. The fourth annual award was presented to Jim Mallahan on March 9, 2011. The third annual award was presented to Ann Ramsay-Jenkins on March 3, 2010. The second was earned in 2009 by the law firm, Perkins Coie, and the first annual award was presented to the Maleng family in 2008.
